Ecuador Volcanoes Expedition- 2012
Cayambe (18,993'), Cotopaxi (19,347')
, and Chimborazo (20,561')
Timberline Mountain Guides, Inc is pleased to announce our Ecuador Volcanoes Trilogy Expedition. We will be offering both a 14 day and a 17 day in-country itinerary this year to accommodate climber's goals.
Interested in high altitude climbing? This is your gateway into the world of expedition climbing. Ecuador presents itself as one of the best venues in the world for beginner to intermediate climbers who are interested in climbing moderately technical glaciated volcanoes. The Ecuador Trilogy Expedition features the three highest volcanoes of Ecuador: Cayambe, Cotopaxi, and Chimborazo.
We realize that a visit to Ecuador is about climbing and spending time in the mountains but it is also a wonderful opportunity to experience the native Quechua, and the many other cultural attractions the country has to offer. This trip has a balance between experiencing the rich culture of South America coupled with a healthy dose of glaciated volcano climbing.
Throughout the trip we will have a local driver/guide with us at all times and this helps us to remain flexible. The weather is quite predictable in January and February, but we allow for changes by evaluating conditions and revising the schedule to help our climbers maximize their trip.
Offered: Dec. 7- 20, 2012, or Dec. 7- 23, 2012.
Cost: 14-day Caymbe and Cotopaxi: $3,500 per climber. Dec. 7-20, 2012.
17-day Trilogy: $3950 per climber. Dec. 7 - 23, 2012
Ratio: 2:1
