Mt. Shasta- 2012
Hotlum-Bolum Route (3 Days)
This 3 day trip on Mt. Shasta is offered on the more remote Hotlum-Bolum route. For folks who have some experience under their belt, this is a great climb combining glacier travel as well as some steeper climbing. On Day 1, we'll hike into a high camp, climb the mountain on Day 2, and hike out on Day 3. Participants should have some previous experience with steep snow climbing, and be able to carry at least a 50 pound pack into our high camp. This is a great introduction to a 14,000' peak with great access. If you are thinking about Mt. Rainier in the future, this would be an ideal warm up.
Offered: Aug. 3-5, 2012.
Ratio: 3:1
Cost: $720 per climber for groups of two or more.
