Office Hours

Our hours may vary depending on the time of year but we are generally in between 9:00 and 5:00 during the week. If we are not in or are already on the phone please leave us a message and every effort will be made to call you back as soon as possible. Usually this will be within the hour.

For our late summer and early fall courses/climbs conducted on the north side of Mt. Hood, Cooper Spur Inn or Mt. Hood Bed & Breakfast are the places to stay.

Camping

There are many camping areas on the south side of Mt. Hood from middle to late summer. For availability, location and status call the Zig Zag Ranger Station at 503-622-3191. For our late summer and early fall courses/climbs on the north side of Mt. Hood, Cloud Cap Campground is the place to camp.

Meals / Food

Meals are not supplied unless otherwise noted under the program you have chosen. Timberline Lodge has a dining room which serves gourmet meals, they also have a cafeteria in the day lodge. Government Camp has a few restaurants also. The last place to buy any real groceries on the way from Portland to Mt. Hood is the town of Sandy. NO groceries are available at Timberline Lodge. For those participating in our north side programs, meals can be obtained at Cooper Spur Inn.

Transportation

If you are flying to Oregon you can fly into either Portland or Redmond. They are about equidistant to Mt. Hood but Portland certainly has more flights available. Car rentals are available at either airport.

Smith Rock Area Info

Lodging

There are a multitude of places to stay in Redmond and Bend, from Bed and Breakfast establishments to resort hotels. We suggest you call the Redmond or Bend Chamber of Commerce for the most up to date information.

Camping

For our Smith Rock participants camping is available at Smith Rock State Park. Open fires are prohibited, so bring a stove. For our Central Cascades climbers camping is usually available at or close to the trail head we will use to access our climb. You can also give us a call for particular hotel suggestions depending on what area you'll be in.

Meals / Food

There are many restaurants available in Redmond and Bend, as well as grocery stores.

Transportation

If you are flying in, the Redmond Airport is the closest, and there are some new direct flights available from Las Angeles, Denver and Salt Lake City as well as Portland and Seattle. Car rentals are available.
