Timberline Mountain Guides Policies

Deposits and Payments:

A 50% deposit is required to hold a spot for you on one of our trips. Full payment is due 60 days prior to the first day of your trip. If you sign up for a trip that starts within 60 days, full payment is due at that time. We accept checks, money orders and Visa/ MasterCard.

Cancellations and Refunds:

Timberline Mountain Guides, Inc. reserves the right to cancel a trip due to lack of sign ups, or other factors beyond our control. You will have the option of receiving a refund or rescheduling for a later date.

If you cancel for any reason, prior to 30 days before your trip, we will happily give you a refund or you can reschedule for a later date. If you cancel less than 30 days, but more than 72 hours, before your trip, a credit will be issued but no refund is available. For cancellations made within 72 hours of the start off the trip, no credit or refund will be available. For this reason, we recommend that you purchase travel insurance from a travel agent.

Medical Considerations:

If you have had a recent injury, illness, or surgery, or if you have a medical condition such as asthma or allergies to food or medications, you should consult with us as well as your physician before signing up for any trip.

Physical Conditioning:

Climbing is a difficult and strenuous activity, both mentally and physically. Please be prepared. Get in shape before your trip, and the going will be much easier. The guide will make a decision to turn back if he feels that you cannot go on safely. We are not in a position to evaluate your fitness level, so it is up to you to evaluate it. If you are overweight or are in poor health, please consult your doctor before signing up for any trip.

Personal Responsibility:

We make every effort to provide you with a safe and successful climb. Climbing and mountaineering involve inherent risks that are beyond our control. You will assume the responsibility for many decisions affecting the safety of your trip. We do not assume liability for injuries or death. All participants are completely responsible for all medical and hospital costs associated with any injury, rescue or evacuation. You must sign a release form and go at your own risk.

Weather Policy:

Once a trip begins, if the activities are cut short due to weather or other objective hazard, there is no refund available.
